Christina Bendo, Waynesville, NC

Inspired by her foraging and hiking in the beautiful Smokey Mountains, Christina Bendo creates pottery that is meant for daily use in celebration and contemplation of the natural world around us.

Created through the use of the potter’s wheel, pinch, or slab built; each piece is unique. Finger marks are left intentionally to help tell the story of the hand in each piece. Each piece is dipped in a base layer of colored slip, and then bisque fired. Her designs are hand drawn and then painted in with a wax resist. Once the painting is finished, another slip is dipped and the pattern is revealed.

Microwave, dishwasher, & oven safe. Allow bakeware to come to temperature with the oven.
